Distance Learning Support

Motivated Young Scholars has been providing onsite learning support to homeschool families for over 10 years.  We have become the leading provider in providing onsite and virtual (distance) learning support to learners in grades K – 12.    


Motivated is looking for individuals who are compassionate and have a love for learning.  We are seeking undergraduate college students to work with learners by providing academic and instructional support to elementary and middle school learners. We will provide you with the resources needed to assist the learner achieve academic success with their cyber and homeschool curriculum. 


The goal of MYS is to support parents as they educate their learners by providing resources, structure, guidance, tutoring & weekly feedback on learner progress.   It is our vision to help homeschool learners reach their full potential by meeting their instructional needs and equipping them for academic success with their online content.


If you are an individual who is passionate, creative, energetic, who loves teaching and working with young learners, we are looking for you. 

Responsibilities as a team member

  • Meet learners online or at one of our sites and provide one on one or small group instructional support.

  • Assist the learner in navigating technology

  • Assist the learner in learning and navigating their school’s online learning platforms and assignments

  • Assist learners with completing online assignments

  • Assist learners with completing their traditional homeschool assignments

  • Help learners become confident in their skill and abilities as independent learners by providing the necessary care and support

  • Provide feedback to update parent/guardian on student’s progress andany other issues that require attention

  • Setup sessions that foster a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning and student achievement

  • Ensure all supplies and materials are prepared prior to each learning support session

  • Supervise students at all times during onsite and online sessions

  • Learn MYS core values, mission and goals

  • You will receive training 


Family Communication/ Mentoring

  • Build strong relationships with parents and students

  • Provide mentoring to students

  • Maintain open communication with all families, learners, and success guides



We need individuals who can dedicate 15-20 hours/week to working with young learners from the comforts of your home.  You may be required to come into the center to work with learners.  


Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college/university, have a record of academic success, and a reliable working laptop for virtual supports.
